Job Summary: Our client is seeking a reliable, professional, and trustworthy Driver. He should provide safe and timely transportation services for the MD and designated personnel. He should be disciplined, clean, discreet, and take pride in maintaining the highest standards of service.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Driving & Errands
- Transport the employer and other designated persons to and from business meetings, appointments, and personal engagements punctually
- Run business and personal errands, including deliveries, collections, and supply runs
- Plan efficient routes and monitor traffic conditions to ensure timely arrivals
- Assist with carrying luggage, parcels, and other items as required
Security & Safety
- Maintain safe driving practices at all times and adhere to all traffic laws and regulations
- Remain vigilant during all trips, with a focus on the safety and well-being of passengers
- Report any suspicious activity or security concerns to the employer promptly
- Ensure all passengers are safely seated and secured before commencing any journey
Vehicle Maintenance
- Ensure the vehicle is clean, fueled, and in excellent condition at all times
- Conduct routine pre-trip inspections (tyres, oil, lights, brakes, wipers)
- Coordinate and follow up on scheduled vehicle servicing and repairs
- Keep accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and maintenance activities
- Report any mechanical faults or concerns to the employer immediately
Confidentiality & Discretion
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding the employer’s personal and business affairs
- Handle all information, conversations, and documents encountered during duties with the utmost discretion
- Refrain from sharing any details of the employer’s schedule, movements, or activities with third parties.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Valid driver’s license Class B, C and C1 additional endorsements an advantage
- Minimum 3 years of professional or personal driving experience
- Clean driving record with no serious traffic offences
- Good knowledge of local roads, routes, and traffic patterns
- Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge
- Smart, neat appearance and professional demeanor
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends when required
- Honest, trustworthy, and of strong moral character.
- Desirable skills
- Defensive driving training or certification
- First Aid knowledge
- Previous experience working for a business executive or high-profile individual
- Basic English literacy for communication and record-keeping
