Job Summary: This is a full-time on-site role based in Kampala, Uganda, for a Warehouse Supervisor. We’re seeking a disciplined and hands-on Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily warehouse operations, ensure accurate inventory management, and support efficient order fulfilment and dispatch. The role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to manage warehouse staff in a fast-moving distribution environment.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch of goods.
- Ensure inventory accuracy through regular stock counts and reconciliations.
- Monitor warehouse organisation, cleanliness, and safety standards.
- Coordinate loading and offloading of deliveries and outbound orders.
- Supervise warehouse assistants, casual staff, and vehicle operators where applicable.
- Ensure timely preparation of customer orders for delivery.
- Track damaged, expired, or slow-moving stock and report accordingly.
- Maintain proper documentation for stock movements and warehouse transactions.
- Work closely with sales, finance, and operations teams to ensure effective execution.
- Support implementation and proper use of inventory systems such as Zoho Inventory or related ERP tools.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Procurement, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in warehouse supervision, preferably in FMCG or distribution.
- Strong inventory control and stock management skills.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Experience in Inventory Control and ensuring stock accuracy
- Good leadership and team coordination abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and warehouse/inventory systems.
- High level of integrity, organisation, and attention to detail.
Preferred Attributes
- Experience managing large SKU counts in a distribution environment.
- Knowledge of warehouse KPIs, stock variance management, and FIFO practices.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
