Lamuka Innovation Center is a refugee-led organization empowering refugees and host communities through skills development, entrepreneurship, digital literacy, innovation, and youth empowerment programs.
Job Summary: The Training Associate will support the planning, coordination, facilitation, and documentation of training programs implemented by Lamuka Innovation Center. The role focuses on supporting entrepreneurship, vocational skills, digital literacy, and youth empowerment activities while ensuring quality participant engagement and proper reporting.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Training Support
- Assist in organizing and facilitating trainings, workshops, and bootcamps.
- Support trainers during entrepreneurship, digital literacy, and vocational skills sessions.
- Prepare training materials and participant attendance sheets.
- Coordinate venue setup and training logistics.
Participant Engagement & Mobilization
- Mobilize participants for trainings and community activities.
- Support participant registration and follow-up.
- Maintain positive engagement with trainees and beneficiaries.
Documentation & Reporting
- Track attendance and maintain participant records.
- Support data collection and reporting activities.
- Document activities through photos, reports, and success stories.
- Assist in preparing weekly and monthly activity reports.
Program Support
- Support mentorship and entrepreneurship incubation activities.
- Assist in monitoring participant progress and feedback.
- Support implementation of youth empowerment and innovation programs.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Education, Business Administration, Community Development, Entrepreneurship, Social Work, or related field.
- Experience in training, facilitation, youth work, or community engagement is an added advantage.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google tools.
- Ability to work in a multicultural and refugee-led environment.
- Strong teamwork and organizational skills.
- Fluency in English; additional local languages are an added advantage.
Preferred Competencies
- Passion for youth empowerment and community transformation.
- Strong facilitation and presentation skills.
- Ability to work under minimum supervision.
- Creativity, flexibility, and willingness to learn.
- Understanding of refugee and host community contexts is an added advantage.
