Job Summary: The Risk & Credit Review Specialist is responsible for reviewing mobile instalment and digital lending transactions, assessing customer and portfolio risk, and supporting credit decision-making through data analysis and investigations. The role contributes to maintaining portfolio quality and strengthening PalmPay’s risk control framework.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review and assess mobile instalment and digital lending transactions in line with approved risk policies
- Conduct credit and business investigations using data analysis, telephone verification, and, where necessary, on-site checks
- Identify risk trends, anomalies, and potential fraud through portfolio and device-level analysis
- Perform portfolio risk assessments based on default rate contribution
- Analyse devices sold against default rate contribution and flag unusual or emerging trends
- Provide approval recommendations, feedback, and improvement suggestions to enhance credit processes and risk policies
- Prepare and submit risk and credit review reports to management
- Perform other duties assigned by the Risk or Credit Management team
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Business Administration, or a related field
- 0–3 years’ experience in credit review, risk control, banking, fintech, or microfinance
- Prior experience in bank credit review or risk management is an added advantage
- Strong data analysis and risk assessment skills
- Good judgment and problem-solving ability
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge & Attributes
- Understanding of credit risk, portfolio management, and digital lending
- Familiarity with fintech or mobile installment products is an advantage
- Strong sense of responsibility, integrity, and professionalism
