About Organisation:
National Information Technology Authority-Uganda (NITA-U) is an autonomous statutory body established under the NITA-U Act 2009, The Authority is under the general supervision of the Ministry of Information Communications Technology and National Guidance (MOICT&NG). The National Information Technology Authority, Uganda was established with a mandate to coordinate, promote and monitor the development of IT in the context of social and economic development of Uganda.
Job Summary: The Officer will be responsible for supporting the coordination the operational implementation of the Office’s Strategic Plan.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in implementing and monitoring the Office’s strategic plans.
- Prepare working papers, reports and briefs designed to aid in the process of planning.
- Assist in collection and compilation of performance data of the Office as per its annual plans and targets.
- Prepare working papers, reports and briefs designed to aid in the process of planning.
- Coordinate and undertake Monitoring and Evaluation of the Office’s activities.
- Assist in the implementation of the annual review and compiling data for the target setting of performance indicators and methods to capture key activities.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Development Studies, or Social Sciences, or Social Work and Social Administration, or Statistics, or Economics, or Development Planning, or related area.
Experience
- A minimum of three (3) years working experience in a related role related to policy, planning and evaluation in a busy organization.
Technical Expertise
- Excellent knowledge of evaluation techniques and mechanisms.
- Must have a solid understanding of policy and planning in public sector.
- Knowledgeable about the Monitoring and Evaluation requirements in public sector
- Excellent computer skills.
Nature and Scope
- Able to prioritize and co-ordinate work streams/projects to drive delivery of tasks.
- A resilient team player with a ‘can do’ attitude, who is willing to take responsibility leading and working with others to create breakthrough solutions to complex problems.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written).
