The Bugisu Cooperative Union (BCU) is a Ugandan agricultural cooperative federation, established in July 1954 by a group of coffee farmers led by Samson Kitutu. BCU is owned by coffee farmers who are organised in primary societies.
Job Summary: Job Summary: WE ARE HIRING! MARKETING & VALUE ADDITION OFFICER FOR THE EYE-C PROGRAM UNDER BCU
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement marketing strategies for coffee and other value-added products.
- Promote value addition initiatives to increase product quality and market value.
- Conduct market research and identify new market opportunities.
- Build relationships with buyers, partners and other stakeholders.
- Support branding, packaging and promotion activities.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Agribusiness, Business Administration or related field.
- At least 2–3 years’ experience in marketing, value addition or sales.
- Knowledge of the coffee value chain is an added advantage.
- Strong communication, negotiation and networking skills.
- Creative, proactive and results-driven.
