Job Summary: Exquisite Solution Limited is seeking an experienced Generator Engineer for a client in the oil and gas sector. The role involves delivering generator operations and maintenance services in line with customer requirements and improving service quality.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Participate in equipment installation, commissioning, and operational readiness activities.
- Implement and ensure compliance with the company’s QHSE management system during all operations.
- Support project planning, design activities, operational risk assessments, and change management processes.
- Assist in developing and updating safety procedures, operational guidelines, and technical documentation.
- Execute operational tasks in accordance with approved standards and support resolution of technical issues on site.
- Prepare and submit operational reports to ensure proper tracking and completion of assigned tasks.
- Manage equipment handling activities, including testing, transportation, installation, maintenance, and retrieval.
- Monitor spare parts and consumables inventory and ensure equipment availability and functionality.
- Maintain orderly site conditions and ensure proper organization of tools, materials, and equipment.
- Provide training and on-site technical/safety guidance to new and existing personnel.
- Support implementation of new technologies and methods to improve operational efficiency and service quality.
- Perform preventive maintenance on generators and related equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults on site.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Safety Engineering, Industrial Automation, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry.
- Strong knowledge of diesel and gas generators set principles, structure, and operation.
- Experience in generator installation, commissioning, parameter setup, and system integration.
- Skilled in electrical and mechanical fault diagnosis, troubleshooting, and preventive/corrective maintenance.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and perform wiring inspection, testing, and control system analysis.
- Knowledge of engine systems, alternators, fuel, cooling, starting systems, and generator control/load management.
