Job Title: Accountant

Maxtech Electric Solutions is an electrical services and contracting company operating out of Nakasero, Kampala, Uganda.
Job Summary: Maxtech Electric Solutions is looking for a detail-oriented and hardworking Accountant to support our finance team. This role is ideal for someone with basic accounting knowledge and a willingness to learn. If you are good with numbers and want to grow in the accounting field, we encourage you to apply!
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Help in recording daily financial transactions (e.g., sales, expenses).
- Assist in preparing receipts, and payments.
- Support in keeping track of company accounts and financial reports.
- Work with URA to ensure compliance with tax regulations.
- Assist in submitting financial statements and other required tax documents.
- Help with bank transactions, deposits, and reconciliations.
- Maintain organized financial records and documents.
- Count and record stock movement (track what comes in and what goes out).
- Make sure stock records match with sales and purchases.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Education: Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: 2 years of experience in accounting or finance
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles.
- Ability to use Microsoft Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks is a plus).
- Understanding of Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) tax procedures (VAT, PAYE, withholding tax, etc.).
- Good with numbers and attention to detail.
- Honest, organized, and willing to learn.
