About Organisation:
Embassy of France in Kampala is the diplomat mission of France.
Job Summary: To process visa application files, under the authority of the head of diplomatic mission/head of consular post, of the head of chancery.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- VISAS: Apply and monitor the proper use of visa regulations;
- Verify, process, and make decisions on visa applications;
- Participate in the daily monitoring and control of the service provider’s activity, where applicable;
- Contribute to discussions on improving the quality of services provided;
- Participate in the training and supervision of temporary staff.
- AFE: Register, identity documents, elections, school grants, civil status.
- Refugees: Reception and integration of refugees resettled in France in conjunction with UNHCR and IOM; receipt of civil status and visa files (family reunification and UNHCR resettlement).
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Institute for Training in Administrative and Consular Affairs (IFAAC)
- Fluency in English is essential.
- Knowledge or proficiency in a local language would be an asset.
- Knowledge of the region would also be beneficial.
