Job Summary: Master Grain Milling Uganda is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Transport Officer to oversee our fleet operations and ensure our logistics run like a well-oiled machine.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Fleet Management: Coordinate the daily movement, tracking, and scheduling of all company vehicles.
- Maintenance & Repairs: Oversee routine servicing and emergency repairs to ensure all vehicles meet safety standards.
- Driver Supervision: Manage a team of drivers, ensuring compliance with traffic laws and company policies.
- Fuel & Cost Control: Monitor fuel consumption and maintenance costs to stay within budget.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate logs for vehicle history, insurance, and licensing renewals.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Education: A National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution is a must.
- Experience: minor experience in fleet management or transport logistics would be a plus.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of vehicle mechanics and preventive maintenance.
- Personal Traits: Excellent organisational skills, leadership ability, and a problem-solving mindset.
