About Organisation:

The Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Authority (PPDA) is established under the PPDA Act No.1 of 2003 to develop standards and regulate procurement and disposal practices in respect of all Procuring and Disposing Entities which include Central Government Ministries and Departments, Local Governments, State Enterprises, Constitutional and Statutory Bodies and post primary training institutions.

 

Job Summary: To support the development and implementation of national capacity building initiatives in public procurement and disposal by executing targeted training, coaching, mentorship, and sensitization activities in alignment with the Authority’s strategic objectives, legal framework, and performance standards.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the formulation and operationalize of the annual capacity building plan in line with the Authority’s strategic objectives and national procurement priorities.
  • Deliver capacity building interventions across Procuring and Disposing Entities (PDEs) and stakeholders.
  • Conduct training needs assessment.
  • Develop and continuously update training materials and content. Support the planning, budgeting, and logistical coordination for capacity building programs and workshops.
  • Conduct the post-training evaluation and feedback mechanisms to assess the effectiveness of interventions and recommend improvements.
  • Contribute to the development and rollout of digital and e-learning platforms to expand access to procurement knowledge and enhance learning outcomes.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:




  • Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, OR An Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce; Business Administration or Economics, Engineering plus full professional qualifications in Procurement/Purchasing and Supply Chain Management (e.g., CIPS, ISM, CILT, NEVI).
  • Full professional qualifications in Procurement or Supply Chain Management Procurement (CIPS, ISM, etc.).

JOB RELATED EXPERIENCE& KNOWLEDGE

  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in Government or equivalent level from a reputable organization.
  • Sound knowledge of the PPDA Act, Regulations, Guidelines and Standard Bidding Documents.
  • Practical experience in training design, delivery, and assessment.
