HR Beyond Limits is a boutique Human Resource Consultancy firm based in Kampala, Uganda, offering end-to-end HR solutions including recruitment, outsourcing, and advisory services to organizations across East Africa.
Job Summary: The HR Manager will lead all human resource functions, ensuring the company attracts, develops, and retains a high-performing workforce to support growth in manufacturing, distribution, and sales operations.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
- Support the recruitment for sales teams, factory workers, and office staff
- Work hand-in-hand with hiring the hiring manager to develop hiring plans aligned with expansion into new markets
Employee Relations & Culture
- Manage employee engagement and retention strategies
- Handle disciplinary processes and conflict resolution
- Promote a performance-driven and ethical work culture
- Performance Management
- Design and implement KPIs across departments (especially sales teams)
- Support managers in performance reviews and improvement plans
Training & Development
- Identify skill gaps and coordinate training programs
- Develop onboarding programs for new hires, especially field staff
Compensation & Benefits
- Ensure competitive and fair salary structures
- Oversee payroll, incentives (especially sales commissions), and benefits
Compliance & HR Operations
- Ensure compliance with Ugandan labor laws
- Maintain employee records and HR systems
- Develop and enforce HR policies and procedures
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field
- 5+ years HR experience, preferably in FMCG or manufacturing
Strong understanding of Ugandan labor laws
- Experience managing large field teams is a big advantage
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
