Job Summary: Product Innovation: Work closely with the Product team on the development of new products and innovative solutions according to the company’s product roadmap. Conduct market research and gather customer needs to support optimal product solutions for Fido customers. Strategic Partnerships: Identify, establish, and nurture strategic partnerships to facilitate the successful launch of products outlined in the company’s roadmap. Relationship Management: Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including potential partners, regulatory authorities, and industry influencers. Represent the company in negotiations and discussions with external parties. Market Intelligence and Analysis: Gather competitive intelligence and conduct a thorough analysis of industry trends. Derive data-driven decisions, refine business strategies, and identify growth opportunities for new products in the company’s roadmap. Expansion: Develop and implement strategies to drive the expansion of the company’s existing and new products. Lead efforts in raising debt to support expansion initiatives. Team Leadership: Foster a collaborative and results-driven culture within the team. Recruit (on demand), mentor, and lead a high-performing business development team.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Product Innovation:

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Proven track record of at least 7 years in leading any of the following: Business Strategy, Product Development, Digital Banking, Fintech, Partnerships.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
Innovation Mindset:
- Proven experience in contributing to the development of innovative digital financial products and services.
Partnership Management:
- Extensive experience in identifying, negotiating, and managing strategic partnerships.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
Product Research Experience:
- Proven record of leading enhanced product research to identify valuable information before a new product goes to market.
Analytical Skills:
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather and interpret market intelligence and data.
- Experience in making data-driven decisions.
Financial Acumen:
- Solid understanding of financial concepts and products, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
Regulatory Knowledge:
- Familiarity with the regulatory environment in Uganda’s fintech and financial services sector.
