Job Title: Matron Senior Nursing Officer

About Organisation:
Founded in 2002, Te-Kworo Foundation began as a response to the urgent need for rehabilitation and education among women and children affected by the brutal conflict in northern Uganda.
Te-Kworo Foundation is recruiting four leadership roles for the Sonic Kworo Hospital, located in Agago District. Northern Uganda. These are full-time, renewable 3-year contracts.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead all nursing and midwifery operations across maternity. NICU. theatre, and OPD
- Set and uphold nursing standards. IPC protocols, and patient safety practices
- Recruit, orient and manage the nursing team; develop staff skills and culture
- Drive nursing quality improvement and monitor maternal and neonatal outcomes
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- BSc Nursing/Midwifery; postgraduate qualification highly desirable
- Current UNMC registration & practising licence
- EmONC & NRP certification (or willing to obtain within 6 months)
- English & Luo required
- Experience; Min 8 yrs nursing/midwifery with min. 3 yrs in a supervisory nursing role.
