Job Summary: Quality Plastics (U) Ltd is seeking a skilled and self-motivated Assistant Accountant to join our Accounts Department. The role will involve to manage daily transaction reconciliations and oversee all accounting, reconciliation, and financial reporting activities for the recycling plant.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Recording and reconciling daily day-to-day financial transactions.
- Bank, cash, and ledger reconciliations on a regular basis.
- Maintaining accurate books of accounts for the recycling plant
- Inventory accounting and reconciliation of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
- Monitoring production-related costs and expense allocations.
- Reconciliation of sales, purchases, and production consumption.
- Tracking payables and follow-up on outstanding balances.
- Reconciliation of all stores Petty cash, Bank ledger, and supplier ledger with proper documents.
- Preparation of expenses schedules.
- Supporting audits by providing reconciliations, explanations, and documentation
- Manage the filing/archiving of Invoices and other relevant documents.
- Perform any other duties as may be assigned by management.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Business Administration or Accounting and Finance from a recognised higher Institute of Learning.
- CPA (Any Level) qualification is an added advantage
- Knowledge of the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and EFRIS.
- At least 1-3 Years of relevant professional accounting experience.
- Excellent Spoken and written English communication Skills, with experience in ERP Tally accounting software and excellent knowledge in accounting, book-keeping and proficiency in MS-Office especially excel and word.
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of the accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations.
- Ability to take ownership and work on initiative under minimal supervision and in a team.
- Motivated and ability to work in a fast-paced environment and always willing take on new tasks
