Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production/Process Manager to oversee operations at our grain-based distillery plant. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of alcohol production processes including ENA, RS, DDGS, fermentation, milling, liquefaction, and wash management. This role is critical to ensuring efficient, safe, and high-quality production while maintaining compliance with industry standards and environmental regulations.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Production Oversight:
- Manage and optimize daily operations of ENA and RS production.
- Supervise fermentation, milling, liquefaction, and distillation processes.
- Monitor wash preparation and handling to ensure consistency and quality.
- Process Management:
- Implement and improve process control systems to enhance efficiency and yield.
- Troubleshoot process issues and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure proper utilization of raw materials and energy resources.
- Quality & Compliance:
- Maintain strict adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with quality control teams for sampling and analysis.
- Ensure environmental and safety compliance across all production activities.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead and train production staff to maintain high performance and safety standards.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
- Reporting & Documentation:
- Prepare and maintain production reports, logs, and documentation.
- Analyze production data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, or related field.
- Minimum 5–10 years of experience in a grain-based distillery or similar industry.
- Strong knowledge of ENA, RS, DDGS production processes.
- Hands-on experience with fermentation, milling, liquefaction, and distillation.
- Familiarity with plant automation and process control systems.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Preferred Skills:
- Experience with SAP or other ERP systems.
- Knowledge of sustainability practices in distillery.
