Job Summary: To planning, coordinating, executing, monitoring, and controling the waste management services within the scope of the organisation.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Taking lead in the execution of the waste Management Services within the scope of the Organisation.
- Overseeing all operational activities in relation to Project Management, Quality Assurance and Quality Control, National Content, Health, Safety, Social security, Environment, Waste Management, coordination and Reporting and sub-contractor management to ensure effective implementation of the project.
- Advicing the project Manager on appropriate methods/Technologies and or alternatives to effectively implement the project.
- Developing, conform and continually improving operational procedures and objectives in line with requirements of the project.
- Planning, overseeing and managing operations at the various Temporary Waste Storage Areas located within the Zoo.
- Coordinating the development of operational Budgets and monitoring implementation within the scope of the Technical Lead.
- Promoting Risk based thinking in all operational activities.
- Coordinating, planning, organizing, scheduling, and exercing supervision over all Field operational activities and services.
- Preparing and/or coordinating all operational internal and external reporting on daily, weekly, monthly and yearly basis. Preparing and maintaining necessary records and reports on all operational personnel and operations.
- Responsible for implementing performance standards, and conducting performance evaluations for operations and operation staff.
- Drafting policies and operational procedures to ensure facilities under Organisation operate effectively in maintaining a safe working environment. Implementing policies, procedures and protocols. Ensuring compliance with regulatory procedures, standards, reporting practices and existing operation permits, including weight records of wastes.
- Soliciting and developing requests for process improvement, in accordance with the organisation internal applicable policies and guidelines.
- Preparing and monitoring Organisation operations’ program and budgets, for review and approval by the Board
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Petroleum Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 3–5 years’ experience in waste management, preferably in industrial, oil & gas, or environmental projects.dge of environmental regulations and waste management standards.
- Experience handling hazardous waste is an added advantage.
- Membership in a relevant professional body is desirable.

- Ability to work independently and under minimal supervision.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- High level of integrity and attention to detail.
