Job Title: Technical Process Operator – Mechanical
Organisation: Agro Processing Plant
Duty Station: Kampala, Uganda

Job Summary: Responsible for operating and maintaining sound integrity of all process machines and equipment.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operation of all production process equipment and machines end to end.
- Maintain a safe, healthy, risk-free working environment at all times by abiding to all rules and regulations of the safety policies.
- Maintain and repair equipment, machines and associated devices at minimum cost while maintaining highest quality standards.
- Perform operation and maintenance on all Processing machines.
- Ensure that all production operations and maintenance tasks are completed to the standard work instructions set out by the organization.
- Perform conditional monitoring of the facility, equipment and machines and draw an inspection schedule (planned and non-planned).
- Participate in assessment and troubleshooting for equipment and machine faults, prepare assessment report for either repair or replacement requirements.
- Initiate the ordering and verifying delivery of spare parts, equipment, and maintenance consumables.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- A Minimum of a diploma in Mechanical Engineering, from a recognized university.
- 2+years of hands-on experience in mechanical works from FMCG Manufacturing companies.
- Experience in process flow operations and maintenance of processing machines and equipment.
- knowledge of health and safety protocols in FMCG is an added advantage.
- Proficiency in MS office, word, Excel and any ERPs is required.
