Job Title: Senior Assistant Academic Registrar

Mbarara University of Science & Technology (MUST), commonly known as Mbarara University, is a public university in Uganda. Mbarara University commenced student intake and instruction in 1989. It is one of the eight public universities and degree-awarding institutions in the country. MUST is accredited by the Uganda National Council for Higher Education.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: The incumbent shall provide a wide range of services that are essential to the operations of the Office of the Academic Registrar as follows:
- Processing of academic documents for students and graduates.
- Academic credentials authenticating and certifying academic documents.
- Assisting in the Admission of students to the university.
- Assisting in the enrolment and registration of students.
- Handling timetables and ensuring adherence to them.
- Handling the implementation of accredited programs.
- Assisting in the management of examinations.
- Assisting in results management from processing to publication.
- Supporting graduation activities.
- Maintaining the students’ Academic Management Information System.
- Performing any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- An honors Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or Information Technology, or related degree from a recognized university.
- A Master’s degree in a relevant field shall be an added advantage.
- Should have at least six (6) years of working experience in an Academic Registrar’s department or related field, handling student results, documents and Information Management Systems. At least three (3) of the six (6) years should have been served at the level of Assistant Academic Registrar or equivalent level in a reputable institution.
- Should not be above 40 years of age at the time of application.
