Job Summary: Sokoni Africa Limited is seeking a qualified and experienced Security Manager to join our team. As the Security Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive security protocols to ensure the safety and security of all guests, staff, and hotel assets. Your leadership will be crucial in managing security personnel and fostering a safe environment throughout the hotel.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor security policies and procedures to protect hotel property and personnel
- Supervise and train security staff, ensuring compliance with security protocols and best practices
- Conduct regular security assessments and inspections to identify and mitigate potential risks
- Respond to security incidents and emergencies, conducting investigations and reporting findings
- Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services to enhance hotel security
- Maintain accurate security records and reports, including incident reports and daily activity logs
- Ensure the security and surveillance systems are operational and effective
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Security Manager or in a similar role within the hospitality industry
- Strong knowledge of security protocols, emergency response procedures, and risk management
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Strong observational and analytical abilities
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
