About Organisation:
Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) is the legal entity, established by the Ugandan Parliament that is responsible for the operations of the capital city of Kampala in Uganda. It replaced the Kampala City Council.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: The incumbent will be responsible to the Supervisor Physical Planning for performing the following duties:-
- Carrying out spatial data collection, capturing, analysing and storing spatial information;
- Designing a spatial database for Kampala Capital City and providing backstop services to all stakeholders;
- Developing spatial data collection tools for all KCCA projects and Directorates;
- Monitoring space allocation, data placement and creating a data dictionary;
- Liaising with relevant Agencies so as to ensure effective implementation of Government policies on spatial data infrastructure;
- Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Applicants should be Ugandans holding an Honors Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Geographical Sciences; or Environmental Sciences; or Geomatics and Geo Informatics; or Land Surveying; or Land Management; or Geo-Information Systems from a recognized University /Institution.
Working Experience
- Applicants should have a minimum of two (2) years relevant working experience in Government or equivalent level of relevant experience from a reputable organization.
