Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure an effective, efficient and accurate weigh, inbound and outbound trucks, as well the movement of weighed trucks from weighbridge to stock pile / warehouse and truck operations / and within the yard.
  • Ensures weighbridge documentation corresponds 100% to physical items being carried on weighing truck and aligned to Hima Cement internal controls and safety requirements.
  • Ensures the truck yard is compliant at all times by adopting and implementing Health and Safety standards, statutory, OSHA requirements and other recognised and applicable safety requirements.
  • Ensures smooth and safe movement of trucks and people within the yard and that standards are maintained so as to achieve YIGO / GIGO targets.
  • Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Ensure accountability for weighbridge operations, verify weighbridge / supplier documents correspond 100% to physical deliveries. Weigh all dispatches and deliveries of cement / bulk material at exit / entry to the shipping.
  • Ensure adherence to Hima Cement Health, Safety & Environment policies in the warehouse, weighbridge, materials and yard operations (including contract works).
  • Support adherence to laid down procedures for weighbridge, stockpile and truck yard so that all in/out bound truck operations are aligned to the laid down procedures.
  • Update daily / monthly weighbridge, truck yard and stock-pile reports and resolve variances immediately.
  • Verify documents to ensure accuracy of supplier and HCL documentation. Tally documents from YARD IN to YARD OUT.
  • Reconcile physical stocks with ERP stocks and ensure tallied information is entered in operating standard template.
  • Support in the day-to-day inventory movement in / out of the warehouse as well as stockpiles.
  • Support in periodic stock takes for cement & bulk materials in partnership with Finance.
  • Coordinates inbound and outbound traffic within the plant, ensuring safe operations, and smooth traffic flows.
  • Responsible for accurate weighing of all trucks in and out of the dispatch point.
  • Monitors proper functioning of the weighbridge and equipment (calibration) to avoid any
  • inefficiencies, reports any malfunction immediately it’s noted as per the escalation procedure and follow up on closure.
  • Supervise proper housekeeping in the truck yard, bulk shed.
  • Report to the N+1 all order balances from time to time when warned by Weighbridge Solution system immediately and follow up for closure.
  • Support in new drivers’ and visitors’ site safety induction and training programs. Aid in coordination of any road safety promotional events.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:




  • Bachelor’s degree in Procurement and Logistics or equivalent.
  • SAP knowledge is added advantage.
  • MS Office Proficiency (Excel and Word)
  • Good computer knowledge.
  • Basic reporting skills.
