Job Summary: The IT Assistant will be the first line of Technical Support to users on Desktop, Mobile and other Software Related Issues. The IT Assistant will perform installation, operation and maintenance of computer systems and other technologies such as communication systems including IP Phones and Network Devices, A/V Equipment and Tools.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- To support the set up of the physical situation rooms.
- Provide technical support: Help users with hardware, software, and network support through phone, chat, or in person.
- Troubleshoot and resolve problems: Diagnose issues using diagnostic tools and targeted questions, then provide effective solutions.
- Manage support tickets: Log, update, and manage help desk tickets, escalating complex issues to higher levels of support when necessary.
- Document issues and solutions: Maintain accurate records of user queries and resolutions to track recurring problems and improve service.
- Assist with technology deployment: Help with the installation of new hardware and software.
- Provide user training: Guide end-users on how to use technology and handle minor technical issues
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Minimum Diploma is Information Communication Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or a related degree from a reputable Institution.
- Certifications COMPTIA A+ or CCNA is an added advantage
Experiences and Skills
- At least (2) years working experience in ICT work in a busy organization or as a support Technician with the following:
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Basic Understanding of IP Telephony and A/V Conferencing Tools
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Good knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles.
- Assist with administrative tasks related to the IT unit.
- Experience working with Help Desk Software and Tools.
- Working knowledge on Mobile Devices both on Android and iOS
