Job Summary: We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Inventory Control Clerk to join our inventory management team. This crucial role involves monitoring and controlling inventory levels within our store or warehouse, ensuring the accuracy of stock counts, and reconciling discrepancies. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and efficiently. Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Inventory Monitoring: Track incoming and outgoing stock
- Receiving & Storage: Receive and verify incoming products against stock movement documents, ensuring correct quantities and conditions.
- Stock Adjustments: Perform regular stock counts, update records.
- Reporting: Prepare and maintain detailed reports on inventory levels, stock trends, discrepancies, and movements, including daily stock movement reports.
- Reconciliation: Conduct daily reconciliation of physical stock counts with computer records.
- Order Tracking: Monitor orders and ensure timely delivery of goods to meet business needs.
- Discrepancy Resolution: Investigate and resolve any inventory discrepancies or issues, ensuring accurate records are maintained.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety regulations and warehouse protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Education: University degree or equivalent in a relevant field (e.g., Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or Logistics).
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in inventory control or a related field. Experience in warehouse or stock management is highly desirable.
- Inventory Management: Familiarity with inventory management systems and methods, ensuring accurate and efficient tracking of stock.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, for managing inventory data and generating reports. Experience with inventory software is a plus.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in stock counts, reports, and transaction records.
- Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with team members, suppliers, and internal departments.
- Data Entry Proficiency: Proficient in basic computer skills, including data entry and management of inventory records.
