Wingreens Agro Limited is an agro-processing company in Uganda focused on premium soya products, producing refined soya cooking oil and nutrient-rich soya meal for animal feed, serving both local markets and importing raw materials like soya, sunflower, and rice bran for processing into value-added goods. They are actively recruiting for sales roles to expand their animal feed business in Uganda, aiming to build customer relationships and identify new opportunities in the agricultural sector.
Job Summary: We’re looking for an experienced candidate to lead our team, manage, and oversee production, sales, and distribution of soya meal, fish feeds, and premixes to customers in the region. The ideal candidate understands the East African market, has a strong network, and can drive business growth.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning: Strategic Leadership: Develop, implement, and execute high-growth business strategies for the East African market.
- Commercial Growth: Lead sales and distribution teams to significantly expand market share and customer base for soya products and animal feeds.
- Operational Oversight: Manage end-to-end operations, including raw material sourcing, production, storage, and logistics to ensure efficiency and product quality.
- Sales and Distribution: Lead sales and distribution teams to expand customer base, increase sales, and build strong relationships with distributors, wholesalers, and retailers.
- Financial Management: Control budgets, forecasting, and P&L to guarantee overall business profitability.
- Market Development: Understand local market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to identify opportunities and drive business growth.
- Team Management & Development: Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing sales, production, and administrative teams.
- Financial Management: Manage budgets, financial planning, and forecasting to ensure business profitability.
- Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Track sales performance metrics (revenue, volume, market share) and management reports.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
- At least 10+ years of sales experience in FMCG or agribusiness
- Experience in the Poultry or Feeds Industry, specifically in sales in the East African market, shall have an added advantage
- Proven track record of sales success and team leadership.
- Strong understanding of East African markets.
- Sales certification (e.g., CPS, CSM).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
