Job Title: Finance Officer – Budgeting and Reporting

Job Summary: Watoto is seeking to recruit a Finance Officer-Budgeting and Reporting to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and budgeting for the Watoto Childcare Ministries.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all accountabilities for advanced funds are reviewed and updated in the accounting system.
- Reconcile intercompany and inter-program accounts and follow up for settlement of funds.
- Reconcile all General Ledger Accounts assigned to the function.
- Review department expenses, generate shared costs and prepare the related journal entries for input in the accounting system.
- Support in the annual budgeting and planning exercise.
- Support in preparation of monthly management reports.
- Support the ministry departments with budget realignments whenever required.
- Participate in the annual external audit.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant for the role should hold at least a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in commerce, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least a minimum of 3 years of working experience in a busy organisation in a similar role.
- Possess at least level two or currently pursuing level three of a professional accounting body. Membership in ACCA or ICPAU is an added advantage.
- Possess proficiency in MS Dynamics (Business Central) and in any other accounting system in Microsoft Office Applications
- Embody organisational values, present confidently, and communicate well.
- Possess excellent skills in writing and analytical report formulation.
- Ability to deliver on-the-job training to team members.
