Bujagali Energy Limited (BEL) is an electric energy generating company in Uganda. The company owns and operates the Bujagali PowerStation, which was the largest hydropower plant in the country as of July 2014. BEL is a single purpose company, formed to develop the 250 megawatt Bujagali Hydropower Station.
Job Summary: Bujagali Energy Limited (BEL), owner and operator of the 250MW hydropower plant on the River Nile in Jinja, invites applications for Electrical, Mechanical & Civil Artisan Trainees under a structured Two-Year Training Program. This program offers hands-on technical exposure in plant operations, maintenance, and civil works within a world-class power generation facility.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Participate in all company training programs.
- Assist and participate in inspection and maintenance of plant mechanical/Electrical equipment.
- Assist in execution mechanical/Electrical and civil works for Bujagali Energy Limited.
- Assist in design, planning and organize resources (labour and materials) for Mechanical/ Electrical and Civil works.
- Follow safety procedures and ensure safety of self and team-mates at all times.
- Assist in preparation necessary documents prior to works including permits to work and related
- safety documents, relevant procedures and work instructions
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical and Civil & Building engineering.
