Job Summary: The Communications Assistant will ensure continuity of communications work for six months, supporting brand visibility, media relations, content creation, digital engagement, and communication across the organisation.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Brand Visibility and Media Outreach

  • Enhance digital presence and coordinate media relations.
  • Build relationships with journalists and coordinate media activities.
  • Review media coverage and ensure aligned messaging.

Content Development and Impact Storytelling

  • Write blogs, stories, and content.
  • Manage multimedia content.
  • Capture field stories and package content.

Digital Engagement and Social Media Strategy

  • Manage social media accounts and website.
  • Monitor online engagement.
  • Produce analytics reports.

Internal and External Communications Support

  • Draft internal updates.
  • Support cross-team communication.

Event Management Support

  • Prepare event media reports.
  • Coordinate branding and documentation at events.

Fundraising Support

  • Develop success stories, case studies, and multimedia content to support fundraising initiatives
  • Collaborate with the fundraising team to ensure timely content delivery and alignment with donor reporting requirements

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:




  • Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or related field.
  • Three years of experience in communications or media relations.
