Job Summary: To handle all cash, card, and digital payment transactions accurately and efficiently while providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced bar/restaurant environment.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Process customer payments using POS systems, handling cash, credit/debit cards, and mobile payments.
- Issue receipts, refunds, and change accurately.
- Maintain a balanced cash drawer and prepare end-of-shift reports.
- Greet customers, answer basic queries about menu items, and promote specials or loyalty programs.
- Collaborate with servers and bartenders to ensure smooth order flow and billing.
- Follow opening and closing cashiering procedures.
- Adhere to all company policies regarding cash handling, security, and customer service.
- Assist with light duties such as menu cleaning, stocking takeaway items, or supporting colleagues during peak hours.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have prior experience working as a cashier or in a front-of-house role within a bar, pub, or high-volume restaurant.
- Proficiency with POS systems and basic math skills.
- Honest, reliable, with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, especially during peak nights and weekends.
- Key Requirement: MUST HAVE BAR EXPERIENCE (applies to all positions)
