Job Summary: The Business Development and Partnerships Associate at Sun King plays a pivotal role in driving market expansion and strengthening our partner ecosystem. We are seeking a results-oriented and strategic professional who excels at building strong relationships, developing effective market strategies, and accelerating revenue growth across both existing accounts and new retail channels. In this role, you will be responsible for managing key accounts, executing a robust route-to-market strategy, and ensuring that Sun King products reach a wide consumer base through our retail and distribution partners.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Account Management & Growth: Cultivate and manage relationships with existing partners. Serve as the primary point of contact, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and identifying opportunities for account growth and upselling.
- Retail Channel Expansion: Leverage your retail experience to build and onboard new retail outlets, distributors, and partners. Develop and implement plans to maximise product visibility and availability on the ground.
- Route-to-Market Strategy: Design and execute effective route-to-market (RTM) strategies to optimise distribution, improve supply chain efficiency, and increase market penetration for Sun King’s solar product portfolio.
- Sales Execution & Target Achievement: Drive the entire sales cycle from lead generation and prospecting to negotiation and closing. Consistently meet and exceed ambitious sales targets and KPIs.
- Market Intelligence: Act as the “eyes and ears” in the field. Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to provide valuable insights for product development and sales strategy.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing, supply chain, and technical teams and other supporting functions to ensure a seamless customer experience and align sales strategies with company objectives.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- A proven track record of 3-5 years in a high-growth sales environment, with experience in the solar energy, consumer electronics, or FMCG sectors, is highly advantageous.
- Demonstrable experience in account management, with a history of growing and retaining key client relationships.
- Hands-on retail experience, including working with distributors, managing in-store presence, and understanding retail dynamics.
- Strong expertise in developing and implementing successful route-to-market (RTM) strategies.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- A self-starter with a hunter mentality, capable of working alone and as part of a team.
- A bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
- The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with experience in managing complex financial operations, multi-project environments, and loan portfolios
