The company has 25 years of experience in the production and commercialization of high-quality agricultural seed such as cereals and pulses, as well as the distributor of East West International hybrid vegetables seeds. NASECO has its head office in Kampala and production plant in Nalweyo Kakumiro district.
Job Summary: NASECO regional presence through strategic partnerships serves our customers’ interests. You will be in charge of creating and supplying demand in the target countries, with a clear mission to operate sustainably and aligned with each country’s master plans.
This job requires a high-integrity, hardworking, and self-driven professional with a keen understanding of the agricultural input sector, regional trade dynamics, and managerial skills.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement regional business strategies
- Identify market opportunities and build profitable partnerships
- Manage export sales, forecasting, orders, and distribution networks
- Leverage partner/donor funding and manage projects/budgets
- Coach, train, and provide performance reports for the regional teams
- Any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor from time to time.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Education: Master’s degree in Agriculture or Marketing/Sales, or related is a MUST. An MBA or a Postgraduate in Marketing/Project Planning is an added advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture-related course (BSc Agriculture, Agriculture in Entrepreneurship, BARI, etc.) or Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, or any other related Business course etc.
- Professional Experience: 5 years’ experience in a Business Development role, preferably in the Agri-business industry, with an understanding of the cross-border regulations and laws
- Competencies: Strategic planning and execution, Networking, project management, digital marketing, Collaborative and networking skills, Data analysis and report writing skills, Excellent communication skills, interpersonal and customer care skills, Problem-solving skills, Knowledge of digital marketing tools, Computer skills in MS Word, MS Excel, and PowerPoint. Knowledge in Swahili and /or French is a plus.
