Job Summary: The Business Analyst serves as a strategic finance and commercial analytics partner to the CFO. The role spans both external-facing (partner finance management) and internal-facing (performance analytics, management accounting, FP&A) responsibilities. The ideal candidate blends strong finance fundamentals with advanced analytical capability, is highly proficient in Excel + MySQL + Python, and thrives in a fast-growing, data-heavy fintech environment.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Partner Finance and Reconciliations
- Execute end-to-end partner reconciliations (revenue share, Bank reports, payments, commissions, discounts, collections and adhoc reports) with accuracy and speed.
- Liaise with key external stakeholders including telecom partners and aggregators for invoicing, collections, and issue resolution.
- Independently conduct deep-dive financial data analysis to investigate reconciliation issues and variances.
Commercial and Management Accounting
- Lead monthly financial analysis and reporting for commercial performance.
- Analyze monthly/quarterly/annual spend, identify variances and drive corrective actions with business units.
- Cost optimization across different cost centers.
- Take the initiative to coordinate business units to gather and integrate required business-related data.
Data Analytics and Insights
- Apply financial modelling techniques and business intelligence skills to quantify the impact of pricing and product strategies on profitability.
- Conduct scenario and sensitivity analysis driven by market insights.
- Provide enhanced analytical dashboards with clear insights, not just data.
Financial Planning and Expansion Support
- Support the CFO in budgeting, forecasting, and FP&A to enable medium-term business and geographic expansion plans.
- Engage regularly with the CFO on financial performance, unit economics, and business valuation.
Leadership and Collaboration
- Hold business-focused conversations with internal teams and partners at all levels.
- Strengthen operational accountability by driving visibility on KPIs and performance indicators.
Others
- Carry out additional duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Regulatory and Business Conduct
- Demonstrate exemplary conduct and live by the organization’s values and code of conduct.
- Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, regulatory discipline, and professional behavior across all workstreams.
- Uphold compliance with all applicable laws, guidelines, and financial reporting standards in both letter and spirit.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance / accounting / economics / Statistics or related field.
- Advanced Excel expertise (mandatory) + working knowledge of MySQL and Python.
- Demonstrable experience in:
- Partner reconciliations and commercial finance o FP&A, budgeting, financial modelling
- High-growth fintech / lending / payments or similar technology-driven environments
- Experience interacting directly with partners and senior internal stakeholders.
- Strong communication skills — able to translate numbers into strategic insights.
