Job Summary: Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Assistant to join their growing real estate company. The successful candidate will support their finance team in maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring smooth day-to-day accounting operations.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: As the Accounts Assistant, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
Accounts Payable & Receivable
- They will be processing invoices, expenses, and payments in a timely and accurate manner.
- Reconciling supplier statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Monitoring accounts receivable and following up on outstanding payments.
- Maintaining accurate records of all financial transactions.
General Accounting Support
- They will assist with data entry and maintaining accounting records in the system
- Prepare and process bank deposits and reconciliations
- Support month-end and year-end closing procedures
- File and organize financial documents and records
Administrative Duties
- The successful candidate will be expected to respond to internal and external finance-related queries
- Assist in preparing financial reports and summaries
- Support the accounts team with ad-hoc tasks and projects
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum 1 year of experience in an accounting or finance role
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Familiarity with ERP systems
- Knowledge of basic tax regulations and compliance
