Job Summary: To develop, maintain, and optimize WordPress websites for clients while providing expert technical support and ensuring outstanding customer satisfaction across all WordPress-related services offered by Sanik Systems Limited.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Website Development & Customization
- Design, build, and customize responsive WordPress websites using themes, plugins, and page builders.
- Implement client-specific features and integrations using PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Ensure all websites meet SEO, mobile responsiveness, and performance best practices.
- Collaborate with designers and content teams to deliver visually appealing websites.
- Conduct debugging, testing, and optimization before deployment.
- WordPress Technical Support
- Provide prompt support for WordPress issues including plugin conflicts, errors, and updates.
- Troubleshoot hosting, SSL, DNS, and email-related issues in cPanel/WHM environments.
- Perform website migrations, backups, and restorations.
- Respond to support tickets, phone calls, and emails professionally and efficiently.
- Maintenance & Optimization
- Regularly update WordPress core, plugins, and themes.
- Monitor site performance, uptime, and security.
- Implement performance improvements—caching, CDN, security configurations.
- Maintain documentation and update logs.
- Collaboration & Reporting
- Work closely with internal development and technical teams.
- Prepare documentation, training guides, and client instructions.
- Provide feedback to improve company website services and hosting solutions.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Additional WordPress or web development certifications are an added advantage.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of WordPress, PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and MySQL.
- Experience with cPanel/WHM, DNS, SSL, and website migrations.
- Familiarity with Elementor, WPBakery, or similar builders.
- Understanding of SEO, security hardening, and performance optimization.
- Ability to work with Git, FTP, and backup tools.
- Knowledge of WHMCS is an added advantage.
Soft Skills
- Excellent communication and customer-oriented attitude.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks effectively.
- High attention to detail and teamwork mindset.
Preferred Experience
- At least 1–2 years of experience in WordPress development and technical support.
- Experience in a hosting environment or digital agency is desirable.

- Work Type: On-site at Sanik Systems Limited Iganga Office.

- Standard working hours with occasional after-hours support based on client emergencies.
