Job Summary: SR Afro Chicks and Breeders Ltd is a large-scale poultry company in Uganda. We seek a highly motivated and results-driven Poultry Feeds Sales Executive to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting and selling our poultry feeds to farmers, distributors, and other customers in Uganda.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Sales and Marketing: Promote and sell our poultry feeds to farmers, distributors, and other customers in Uganda, to achieve sales targets.
- Technical Support: Provide expert animal nutrition and management advice to farmers during farm visits and training sessions to ensure optimal poultry health and performance.
- Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers, including farmers, distributors, and other industry stakeholders.
- Market Research and Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges in the poultry feed market in Uganda.
- Product Knowledge: Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of different types of feeds, pre-starter, starter, grower, finisher, concentrates, etc, including their applications, benefits, and usage.
- Sales Targets: Achieve sales targets and contribute to the growth and development of our business in Uganda.
- Reporting and Administration: Prepare and submit sales reports and perform other administrative tasks as required.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other members of our team, including production, logistics, and customer service staff.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Agriculture, Animal Science, Marketing, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in sales and marketing, preferably in the poultry or animal feed industry.
- In-depth knowledge of animal nutrition, feed formulation, poultry production, health, and farm management practices is essential
- Veterinary Knowledge and skills shall be an added advantage
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong knowledge of the poultry industry, including poultry production, nutrition, and health.
- A motorcycle riding permit
