Job Title: Station Maintenance Officers, Mandatory Motor Vehicle Inspection Services – 5 Positions

About Organisation:
The Ministry of Works and Transport is mandated to conduct mandatory motor vehicle inspections to ensure vehicle roadworthiness, environmental compliance and enhance road safety across the country. To fulfil this mandate, the Ministry of Works and Transport contracted Integrated Transport Solutions Limited, an experienced and fit for purpose company that provides state of the art business solutions to provide technical services to recruit contract staff on behalf of the Ministry to support the operationalization of motor vehicle inspection centres and opening of additional motor vehicle registration centres.
Job Summary: To ensure the optimal performance and reliability of inspection equipment and machinery by performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs, and maintaining accurate records, while escalating major technical issues to management.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in routine maintenance and calibration of inspection equipment.
- Conduct troubleshooting and minor repairs on faulty machines.
- Keep records of maintenance activities and spare parts inventory.
- Report major technical issues to the Equipment Maintenance Manager.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- At least 3 years of experience in equipment maintenance
- Hands-on experience with vehicle inspection machines and inspection tools.
Desirable Requirements
- Previous experience with SGS Automotive Uganda in a similar role is desired.
