About Organisation:
Backbone group is a multinational corporation specialized in feed production, raw material trading, and fermentation biotechnology. Here in Uganda, we are dealing in animal feeds for pigs, poultry feeds, and fish feeds.
Job Summary: We are seeking Sales Representatives to drive growth, build strong customer relationships, and expand Backbone’s market presence across Uganda. The role requires individuals who are proactive, personable, and target-driven. While prior experience in the animal feed industry is a plus, it is not a requirement—we value energy, communication skills, and a strong drive to learn.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identify and engage potential customers, including farmers, cooperatives, agrovets, and distributors.
- Promote Backbone’s range of animal feeds and build awareness about their unique benefits.
- Maintain regular communication with existing clients to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat sales.
- Achieve monthly sales targets and support territory growth strategies.
- Conduct market research and report customer feedback, competitor activities, and emerging trends.
- Participate in product demonstrations, field visits, and promotional events as needed.
- Liaise with internal teams to ensure timely delivery and excellent after-sales service.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales, preferably in FMCG, agriculture, or distribution environments.
- Proven ability to build relationships and close sales deals.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently, travel frequently, and manage a sales territory.
- Knowledge or interest in animal feeds or agribusiness is an advantage.
- Fluency in English and at least one local language is required.
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Agriculture, Business, or a related field is preferred.
