Job Summary: As a Sales & Marketing Associate, you’ll work at the intersection of growth, partnerships, and brand storytelling. You’ll support both the Business Development and Sales teams to unlock new markets, attract merchants, and build long-term relationships with clients that accelerate adoption of Boda Guy’s products and services.
You’ll operate in a fast-paced, hyper-growth environment where initiative and creativity are key. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on measurable results, cross-team collaboration, and building strong connections with partners and customers.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identify, engage, and onboard small and medium-sized businesses (restaurants, retailers, e-commerce vendors, etc.) onto the Boda Guy platform.
- Support local marketing and field activation campaigns to increase user downloads and merchant signups.
- Assist in developing and managing sales pipelines, leads, and reports.
- Work cross-functionally with Product, Operations, and Marketing to design market-specific campaigns that drive engagement.
- Conduct market research to identify emerging opportunities and customer needs.
- Help build and maintain key partnerships that deliver mutual value and strengthen Boda Guy’s presence in the Ugandan market.
- Gather feedback from businesses and users to improve product features and customer experience.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field (we hire more based on ability to deliver results than whatever you studied.
- 1–3 years’ experience in sales, marketing, or business development (start-up or mobility experience is a plus).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- A self-starter mindset with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Passion for technology, logistics, and sustainable mobility solutions.
