Job Title: Reconciliation & Settlement Officer

Job Summary: To efficiently verify, manage and reconcile transactions performed by customers in Interswitch to detect and reduce on revenue leakages.
Manage the dispute management framework for interbank switching transactions.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Transaction Reconciliation:
- Match and reconcile financial transactions between internal systems and external sources such as banks, payment processors, or clearing houses.
- Identify and investigate discrepancies in transaction records.
Data Analysis:
- Analyze large sets of financial data to identify weekly trends, anomalies, or potential errors.
- Use data analysis tools to streamline the reconciliation process and enhance accuracy.
- Maintain a list of Revenue leakages.
Documentation and Record Keeping:
- Maintain detailed records of all financial transactions and reconciliation activities.
- Prepare reports summarizing reconciliation results for management and regulatory purposes.
Issue Resolution:
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies or issues related to settlements or reconciliations promptly.
- Collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and relevant stakeholders to address and resolve discrepancies.
Compliance and Regulation:
- Stay informed about industry regulations and compliance requirements.
- Ensure that all reconciliation and settlement processes comply with regulatory standards and company policies.
Automated Reconciliation:
- Implement and utilize automated reconciliation tools and systems to improve efficiency and reduce the likelihood of errors.
- Monitor and maintain the performance of reconciliation automation processes.
Communication:
- Collaborate with different departments, including finance, operations, and technology, to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
- Provide regular updates to management regarding the status of reconciliation activities and any identified issues.
Risk Management:
- Identify and assess potential risks associated with reconciliation and settlement processes.
- Implement risk mitigation strategies and work towards minimizing operational and financial risks.
Continuous Improvement:
- Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains.
- Implement best practices and recommend system enhancements to optimize reconciliation and settlement workflows.
Customer Support:
- Provide support to customers or clients regarding settlement-related queries or concerns.
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by addressing issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in any good discipline
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in data analytics
