Job Title: Quality Controller
Organisation: Agro Processing Plant
Duty Station: Kampala, Uganda

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Developing quality control processes.
- Understanding customer expectations and needs from a product
- Designing product specifications.
- Supervising quality staff and monitoring production standards.
- Ensuring lab equipment is correctly working, and its maintenance is done as required by manufacturers.
- In charge of monitoring that the raw material is delivered in the right quality conditions to production.
- Monitoring and evaluating internal ripening and production processes.
- Evaluating the final output of products to determine their quality.
- Rejecting products that fail quality standards.
- Engaging with customers and gathering product feedback.
- Producing statistical reports on quality KPI´s
- Reporting to management on quality standard status.
- Work closely with the compliance department and keep data and traceability records updated.
- Dry Matter Testing & Sampling
- System Data Registration, Accurately enter all DM and fruit sampling data into HEXIMAS.
- Communicate DM test results promptly to the Offloading team, production and Management.
- Collect representative oil samples during processing, filtration, and dispatch.
- Propose improvements in QC practices to reduce rejections and enhance efficiency.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Chemistry, Food Science and Technology or any other related field from a recognized university.
- 5+years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified above in a manufacturing environment.
- Computer skills, including Word, Excel, and any ERP
- Ability to think at a strategic level.
- Ability to pursue high standards of excellence in line with agreed policies and procedures.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
