Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Grants Management
- Oversee implementation of awarded grants, ensuring compliance with donor requirements and World Vision (WV) standards.
- Ensure programs are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget in collaboration with key stakeholders
- Develop Program Risk Register to identify, develop mitigation measures and addressed risks in a timely.
- Ensure project start up and close out plans are done and implemented
- Work with the MEAL department to ensure all assessments, evaluations and consultancies are conducted on time and with quality
- Participate in the recruitment of key project staff, supervision and periodically evaluate performance of staff members.
Compliance and Reporting
- Work with program staff, finance teams, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with grant requirements and regulations (both internal and external).
- Identify potential compliance risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Identify & support staff training needs on compliance requirements and best practices.
- Work with the relevant staff to prepare and submit timely and accurate reports to donors (financial and program reports).
Resource mobilization and donor engagement
- Participate in development of quality project designs, concepts and fundable proposals.
- Participate in donor engagement activities.
- Document learnings from the project and ensure learnings feed into new project designs.
- Take lead in documentation and sharing of Impact/success stories and best practices to promote learning.
Stakeholders Engagement, Networking and Collaboration
- Network and collaborate with key stakeholders such as the District Local Government, OPM, UNHCR etc. in the Program Area, and ensure the project is represented in sector meetings
- Maintain effective coordination and working relationship with consortium partners and donors
- Organize quarterly joint monitoring visits with key stakeholders and follow up implementation of actions.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- A Bachelors degree in Humanitarian/Development related Discipline /Masters in a relevant field of study is an added advantage.
- A minimum of 5 years NGO work, experience implementing multi-sectoral grants at middle management or senior management level in an INGO.
- Demonstrated ability to undertake high-level representation with donors, and government officials.
- Experience delivering results, multitasking and managing staff in high-stress environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in fostering program learning, monitoring and evaluation.
- Strong policy analysis and advocating skills
- Refugee protection background
- Good budget management skills
- Must be a committed Christian, able to stand above denominational diversities.
- Programme Management skills
- People management skills.
