About Organisation:
Uganda Cancer Institute (UCI) is an autonomous body under the Ministry of Health, established by the Uganda Cancer Institute Act, 2016. The Act mandates the Institute to manage and coordinate cancer care and cancer-related conditions across the country. UCI’s core functions include cancer treatment, prevention, research, and training in fields such as Oncology, Pediatrics, Gynecology, Radiotherapy, Surgery, Imaging and Radiology, Nuclear Medicine, and other related specialties.
Job Summary: To deliver patients to destinations within the Institute
Key Duties and Responsibilities: The incumbent will be responsible to Assistant Nursing Officer, Navigation for performing the following duties:
- Provide basic clinical information to patients and attendants
- Prepare and guide patients to relevant clinics
- Implement basic nursing protocols
- Conduct basic PHC and health education
- Strictly adhere to code of conduct and ethics
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- A Certificate of Education (0 Level) with credits in English and Science Subjects
- Key competencies required for the post: The incumbent should have key competences in: Good customer care and public relations skills; Communication and interpersonal relations; Ethical behavior; Time consciousness and Confidentiality skills, ICT and Report writing Skills.
