Job Title: Officer In-Charge

Reports to: Supervisor Branches
About Organisation:
Statewide Insurance Company Limited (SWICO) is a Ugandan based Leading Insurance Company with branches all over the Country.
Job Summary: The Officer in charge will be responsible for the successful implementation of the Company plans and strategies for the selling of insurance products within the area covered by the branch
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Participate in conducting research to on customer requirements / market demands within the area covered by the branch
- Participate in implementing market plans and projects for new and existing products
- Collect, analyze and provide data to Management on sales activities in the area, to guide in planning /decision making
- Build and maintain good relationships with Insurance Brokers, Agents and the public
- Attend social functions, promote company image / products and participate in sensitization /creating awareness to the public /clients
- Provide after sales serve to clients
- Participate in training programs for sales and marketing staff
- Assist in preparing periodic reports on business sales within the branch area
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Insurance, Marketing, Management, or Business field
- Additional Training/Qualifications/Certification Necessary
- Professional qualification in Insurance, Marketing or Sales
Minimum Experience and Exposure Necessary
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the general insurance industry or service
- marketing
Key Knowledge Required
- Knowledge general insurance products
- Knowledge of insurance product selling
Key Skills Necessary
- Strong sales skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
