Job Title: IT Support Officer
Organisation: Avocado Oil Processing Plant
Duty Station: Kampala, Uganda
Salary: Attractive Package
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks
- Installing and configuring computerised hardware and software systems.
- Timely response to service issues and requests
- Providing technical support including, trouble shooting , diagnostic tests, setting up new user Accounts and coordination across the company.
- Repairing and replacing equipment as per requirement.
- Researching and recommending new technologies to improve efficiency and cut costs.
- Ensuring the security of all IT systems and data in the Company.
- Following and enforcing the company’s procurement policies and procedures.
- Managing biometric systems across the company.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- A bachelor s Degree in computer science, Information technology or Computer engineering
- 2+ Years’ experience in a busy environment is crucial for the position.
- ERP software certification/ Experience is a must.
Key Requirements:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
- Attention to detail
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion as per standard accepted
