Job Title: IT Lab Intern (No Experience Jobs)

About Organisation:
Uganda Christian University (UCU) is an authentic Christian institution established by the Church of Uganda in 1997 in response to a call for quality university education with a Christian perspective. Uganda Christian University replaced the historic Bishop Tucker Theological College which trained clergy and educators during its 84-year history from 1913-1997. The local chief, Hamu Mukasa, granted land for the college to operate in Mukono.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- To provide operational and technical support for IT lab facilities.
- Under the supervision of the Senior Network Administrator or Senior Systems Administrator, install equipment & software required in the IT labs.
- To arrange for the required servicing and repair of IT Lab equipment.
- To perform routine audits on systems and software.
- To answer user queries relating to use of the IT Lab.
- To document the configuration of lab equipment and any changes.
- To ensure optimum operation of the Lab facilities.
- To ensure the efficient flow of information between the Lab owner department and UIS technical team leaders.
- To carry out any other work as assigned by the supervisor from time to time.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Should have a Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Information Technology from Uganda Christian University.
- Adept at rapidly learning and utilizing diverse educational software, such as accounting programs and video editing platforms
- Should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Should be able to work beyond conventional working hours and on weekends.
- Should be a committed Christian of high integrity.
