Job Summary: On behalf of our client in the Paint manufacturing Industry we are seeking a competent and experienced Export/Upcountry Sales Executive to be based in Kampala, Uganda.
The Export/Upcountry Sales Executive shall be responsible for driving sales and business growth outside the primary market area, including international markets (export) and domestic upcountry regions. The Export/Upcountry Sales Executive shall also focus on identifying new business opportunities, managing client relationships, achieving sales targets, and ensuring timely delivery of products to clients in assigned territories.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities in export and upcountry markets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients and distributors.
- Promote and sell company products/services to domestic and international customers.
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations, quotations, and proposals.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Conduct market research to understand customer needs, competitor activities, and emerging trends in target markets.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally.
- Coordinate with internal departments (logistics, finance, marketing, production) to ensure smooth order processing and timely delivery.
- Monitor sales performance and prepare reports for management.
- Attend trade shows, exhibitions, and networking events to expand market presence.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 3-7 years post qualification experience as a Sales Executive, preferably in the export market.
- Strong understanding of sales processes within the manufacturing industry.
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in export or upcountry/domestic territories.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong knowledge of export procedures, documentation, and regulations (for international sales).
- Ability to work independently, travel extensively, and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM systems.
