Job Summary: Responsible for overseeing all equipment on the project.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a proactive maintenance strategy to ensure efficient and uninterrupted operations.
- Continuously identify opportunities to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs.
- Establish and maintain company policies and standard operating procedures for all maintenance activities.
- Ensure all maintenance practices comply with industry regulations and OSHA standards.
- Review and analyze maintenance reports to monitor team performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Manage maintenance budgets and approve related expenses in line with financial guidelines.
- Forecast spare parts requirements, manage inventory, and negotiate pricing with suppliers.
- Oversee the hiring and management of subcontractors and vendors for specialized maintenance tasks.
- Conduct regular fleet evaluations to ensure adherence to maintenance standards.
- Ensure maintenance workshops are adequately staffed and that mechanics receive proper training.
- Optimize the use of vehicle management systems to improve operational efficiency.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field (mandatory).
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in equipment or fleet management, with at least 5 years in a senior managerial role on large-scale construction or infrastructure projects.
- Proven ability in maintenance and fleet management, acquisition of equipment and coordination of technical assistance.
- Ability to direct and manage daily operations in mechanical workshops.
