Job Title: Accountant

Salary Range: Gross pay UGX 2,500,000/= – UGX 3,000,000/=
About Organisation:
Xclusive Uganda is a group of Horticulture companies consists of 3 companies: Xclusive Young Plants, Xclusive Kalanchoe and Xclusive Chrysanthemum. Our total production area is about 11 hectares, and we work together with 550 colleagues.
Job Summary: To ensure accurate and timely recording, reconciliation, and reporting of all financial transactions in order to provide a true reflection of the company’s financial position.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage creditors and debtors, allocate petty cash, prepare reports, and process supplier payments accurately and on time.
- Accurately record all financial transactions in the correct accounts to reflect the company’s true financial position.
- Allocate production costs per agreed ratios and perform monthly transaction closings to ensure timely and balanced intercompany ledgers.
- Maintain up-to-date, reconciled accounting ledgers and cash books, including closing forex differences.
- Ensure timely compliance with statutory filings, VAT refunds, customs procedures, and external audits.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- A Master/bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting, Business Administration, Economics & Commerce.
- A professional course of CPA Level III is an added advantage.
- A minimum experience of 6-10 years working in a corporate setting and in handling URA taxes.
- Strong computer skills, inclusive of knowledge of accounting software.
- Paying attention to details, and good analyst.
- Knowledge of quick books.
