About Organisation:
The Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB) is established as a Statutory Body under the Uganda Registration Services Bureau Act Cap. 210. The Bureau is a key player in Commercial, Civil and Intellectual Property Rights Registration that facilitate private sector development and vital statistics for national planning.
Job Summary: The Driver is responsible for driving, repairs, safekeeping and general maintenance of URSB vehicles.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Driving vehicles between different points as directed by the assigned supervisors or Transport Officer.
- Ensuring compliance with traffic and road safety regulations.
- Keeping the vehicle in good running order, tidy conditions and clean at all times
- Carrying out minor repairs.
- Making reports on major and minor repairs to the Administrative Officer for action.
- Supervising the loading and off – loading.
- Assisting the Transport Officer to ensure the regular servicing and preventive maintenance of the assigned vehicle(s).
- Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold an A’ level certificate.
- A valid driving License.
- A certificate in defensive driving is an added advantage.
