Job Summary: We are seeking for a proactive and results-driven Compliance Manager will ensure that an organization adheres to legal, regulatory and internal policy requirements. This role involves developing compliance programs, monitoring operations, conducting audits and advising leadership on risk management strategies.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Policy Development & Implementation
  • Design, implement and maintain compliance policies and procedures.
  • Ensure policies align with local, regional and international regulations.
  • Monitoring & Auditing
  • Conduct regular compliance audits and risk assessments.
  • Identify gaps and recommend corrective actions.
  • Training & Awareness
  • Develop and deliver compliance training programs for employees.
  • Promote a culture of integrity and ethical conduct.
  • Regulatory Liaison
  • Serve as the primary contact for regulatory bodies and external auditors.
  • Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations affecting the business.
  • Reporting
  • Prepare compliance reports for senior management and the board.
  • Escalate potential compliance issues promptly.
  • Risk Management
  • Evaluate business processes for compliance risks.
  • Collaborate with departments to mitigate risks effectively.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:




  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
  • Professional certifications such as CAMS, CCEP, or CPA are an advantage.
  • 5+ years of experience in compliance, audit or risk management in fintech or banking industry.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks relevant to the industry.
  • Excellent analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be Ugandan.
